The voting is over. The results have been tabulated. The contest is over. If you have no clue what I’m talking about, be sure to check out a few posts below. For those that do know, two photos of mine were entered in the Bliss Wedding Photo of the Year 2008 contest. Out of over a 150 submissions, two of mine were selected into the top 17. After a few weeks of voting, one of my photos came in 3rd place. I’m quite humbled and happy to have been apart of this experience. My friends and colleagues all came out to support my work, that is truly humbling and I’m very greatful, thank you! I believe the best part of the contest isn’t getting my work recognized, but rather the conversations that I had with other photographers, friends, and those who are just starting to pick up a camera. Having the ability to share stories and interests is much more important than any contest. Be sure to check out the other two photo’s on the freshly redesigned Bliss Blog!
It’s been awhile since I’ve updated… so much is going on with being a full-time intern, I’m enjoying it but haven’t had time to do all the things I would really like to, like blog and update more. I always say that after not posting for awhile that I’ll do better, I don’t know if I’ll do better at staying on top of updates for the next few weeks. I do have a new photo project that I’ll be working on starting in the next two weeks or so… watch for that!
I created a Facebook business profile today. Be sure to check that out and become a fan! I have a few remaining bridesmaids photoshoot to post and the rest of the Chicago birthday trip experience… soon to come!
If you haven’t seen this video created by photographer Zach Arias, take the next few minutes to watch and dive into what it really means to be a photographer and how that fits into the big picture.

Congratulations Jeff!
Thanks Edwin!
As the proud momma of the groom (and a frequent voter from all the email sources I had available) I wanted to take a moment to tell you your photos are amazing. I share the few I have of the kids and my grandaughter with everyone around OU and around Ortonville. You should be very proud the photo came in third (I was voting for 1st) but I guess I am a little prejudiced. I probably won’t have another photo in the near future and will treasure these forever, thank you for sharing your talent.
Thanks Deborah, I’m glad you enjoyed the photos and have been sharing them!
