I wanted to share a little glimpse into my Colorado trip with Inner Circle Photography to photograph an awesome wedding! Today we went to Pikes Peak, which is 14,115 ft tall! It was a little cloudy during our trip but we had fun and took some landscape pictures. Enjoy a quick peek!

Happy New Year from myself and Megan! We wish you the best in the new year. If you’ve packed away your dreams, dare to unpack them as you start this new year and decade. It’s time to enlarge your vision!
Below is a sneak peek from our weekend trip to Pickford, Michigan to shoot an engagement session with Megan’s cousin, Eric and his fiance Caitlin.
At the end of the day we had Eric take a picture of us.
Free Wedding
My friend and fellow rockstar photographer, Miranda of Inner Circle Photography is running an awesome contest over at her blog. This contest involves a free wedding photography package from Miranda, pretty cool right? The 3 finalists are on her blog right now and YOU can vote for your favorite. The voting runs until December 31 with the winner announced on January 1, 2010.
U2
In case you missed it, here’s last night’s live stream from The Rose Bowl Stadium of U2’s concert. Because I thought the concert started at 8:30, I was ready to rock out with U2, LIVE… however, I completely missed the fact that it was 8:30PT! The concert wasn’t scheduled to start until 11:30EST, wow, okay though. I waited until 11:30EST only to find a 30 minute countdown had just began, the actual coverage wasn’t starting until 12am EST! I was so bummed out.. I stayed up until 1am EST though and knew it was time to head off to sleep. I’m glad the entire concert is available on YouTube now though, makes me so much happier!
Enjoy U2 goodness to the maximum and check out rockstar photographers, The Youngrens experience at the concert… yes, I am jealous! Their post has a lot of great stories and pictures throughout the day. Yes, I am 100% positive that I also would have partook in the unattended cooler of beer!
Best Camera iPhone App
I downloaded Chase Jarvis’ Best Camera iPhone App when I was on my honeymoon with Megan… it’s AWESOME! The ability to edit in more advanced ways is something that I genuinely love about the app. Below are my two favorites I’ve taken.

Megan and I’s good friend, Miranda shot our wedding on Saturday, September 12, 2009. We were so glad to have her part of our day and even more excited to see her later in the evening hanging out with us and dancing! She is an awesome friend and we are grateful for what she’s done for us! Check out the sneak peak she posted on Facebook.
Memorable Entrance
I found this little video gem from fellow photographer and CMU alumni, John Remus. I love the thought behind why a bride and groom would do this, what do you guys think?
Raindrops
Since the Tiger’s swept the Cubs this afternoon, it’s been thunderstorming. During a small break of rain and thunder I jumped outside to snap a few pictures. I’ve never thought of myself as a nature photographer, or whatever that means… However, with my new 70-200 f2.8 mounted on my 5D, the pictures happen easily. I love the macro/close up of raindrops on plants. This is my new background for my laptop.
Celebration at the State Capitol
If you missed the Celebration at the State Capitol’s sneak peak post, check it out here. View the slideshow by clicking here. Thanks for Mike-E & AfroFlow for sharing a positive and uplifting message at Celebration at the State Capitol! Check out AfroFlow’s website and drop Mike-E a message of thanks for supporting the American Cancer Society! I talked to Mike-E and the other members of AfroFlow after the celebration and they are all down-to-earth guys with big hearts. I am looking forward to seeing these guys again live. They brought some serious energy to the celebration, if the legislator’s didn’t hear why we were outside relaying, then they did when Mike-E and AfroFlow came out. What a great way to get a message across then on the capitol steps! Thanks Mike-E & AfroFlow, see you guys hopefully again!
This is Alexa, she has been fighting melanoma for six years. Unfortunately, melanoma is genetic and will always be part of her life. I received an email from Alexa’s Mom, Nina after I posted the sneak peak. Nina shared some of her daughter’s story with me and I found out Alexa attends my high school alma mater, GO DRAGONS & keep fighting Alexa!
