Jennifer and Matt East Lansing Michigan Engagement Photography

Jennifer and Matt are a lot of fun. We spent the entire morning talking about life, college, their upcoming wedding, and everything in between. A fun fact about Jennifer is that she is halfway through vet school! We shot their engagement photography session on the campus of Michigan State University, in East Lansing, Michigan. I love MSU’s campus, there is always a new place to shoot and explore. I am very excited to shoot their wedding this summer, I really can’t wait. Terri and Chris Ann Arbor Michigan Engagement Photography

Terri and Chris contacted me a few months ago about shooting their engagement pictures. The live in Washington State and did a simple Google Search for local Michigan photographers and found me. Both are graduates from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. They made the journey back for Homecoming and we shot their engagement pictures on Friday before the big game against Iowa. Terri and Chris were a lot of fun to be on campus with! Unfortunately, they booked a local photographer for their wedding next year in Baltimore, Maryland so I won’t be shooting their wedding, sadness! Terri and Chris, you guys are a great couple, may God bless your upcoming months leading up to your wedding, and best wishes in your life together!

Stephanie and Joe met at Central Michigan University during a psychology class. We went back to our alma mater, found the class they met in, and took pictures around campus. Stephanie and Joe are a great couple. I’ve know Joe for a few years through Sigma Alpha Epsilon and even traveled to Canada to see 311 play a show. I’m so excited for these two, their wedding is gonna be a blast! EXCITED! Enjoy a few of my favorites from their engagement session.

Taryn and Craig Owosso Michigan Engagement Photography

Taryn and Craig had different favorite seasons, so we ended up doing one during the summer and one in winter. We thankfully had a little snow during this session. If Mother Nature had her way, it may have melted all too quickly for us! We ventured around a few local places in Owosso, where Taryn and Craig are both from (my wife too!). One of my favorite memories is when Craig and I got on the topic of groups of people marching (read: walking) in step. We both said that when we see a group of people in ‘step’ ahead of us, we’ll do a shuffle step to get on their pace! Yes, we are both drummers and have done our share of marching band. Don’t judge us! Megan and Taryn didn’t join in our amazing conversation about how exciting it was… oh well!

Caitlin and Eric Michigan Upper Pennisula Engagement Photography

Caitlin and Eric’s engagement session was officially the coldest session, ever! Scroll down to the 1st picture and you’ll see what I mean… It was so cold, that when you breathed the moisture would start to freeze in my beard, I’m serious! I really wish I had a picture of it to prove it did happen! Caitlin and Eric braved the cold much better than my wife (who claims to be a Yooper, but can’t hang when it gets a little chilly).

Here’s a few favorites from their session. If you missed their sneak peak, check that out too!

Eric’s SUV thermometer is really projecting the correct temperature, -11! Yes, -11! That is C.O.L.D. **SHIVER** By the end of our session the temperature had risen to a brisk -3!

You wouldn’t think it, but parking garage staircases can be a surprisingly warm stop from the -11 temperature!

I’m looking forward to their wedding in the UP, lots of family, fun, and most importantly, much warmer in the fall!
