Maria and Justin Southgate Michigan Wedding Photography

On May 30, 2010 Maria and Justin married at the beautiful Our Lady of the Woods Catholic Church and had an amazing reception at Crystal Gardens. When I met with Maria and Justin for the first time, I knew that I wanted to book them. We sat in Grand Traverse Pie Co. in East Lansing and discussed wedding photography and they told me their story of how they met. Sitting and talking we realized that we had all attended Central Michigan University, FIRE UP CHIPS!

We did our engagement session on the campus of Michigan State University and had a great time, although I do remember it being a little chilly. If you missed their engagement pictures, be sure to check them out first!

Friends and family can see all of the wedding pictures in their password protected gallery. Take a moment or two, there’s a lot to look at!

Megan and I started the day at a family member’s house with Maria and the bridesmaids getting ready for the day. We spent a few minutes inside getting some of the details of getting ready, then headed outside for some relaxed portraits and group pictures.

After spending time with the bridesmaids and Maria, we jumped in the limo and headed to the church. We meet Justin and the guys there and took some relaxed portraits, then made our way into the church for the wedding ceremony.

After the ceremony we went to a park that had this rustic old bridge over a river. Before taking group shots, I stole Maria and Justin away and let them enjoy one another as newlyweds!

After some relaxed and fun portraits with Maria, Justin, and the bridal party, we made our way to the final destination for an evening of laughter, smiling, and dancing.

At the end of the night I had asked a groomsmen to take a picture of us four… he was only able to get us 3 in, but I promise Megan is standing in the left side of the frame! Thanks for having Megan and I photograph and participate in your wedding, we had a great time and wish you both a lifetime of happiness with one another!

Dorene and Brandon Pontiac Michigan Wedding Photography

Dorene and Brandon were married at the Lafayette Grande, located downtown Pontiac, Michigan. Their ceremony and reception were both held on the grounds of the Lafayette Grande. This was the first time I’ve shot at the Lafayette Grande and I can’t wait until I get another opportunity!

Thank you to Dorene and Brandon for letting Megan and I tag along and photograph your wedding. We were completely humbled that everyone welcomed us into your celebration, thanks for having us! I’ve know Dorene for many years… in fact, my parents used to babysit her as we grew up! Lots of memories and summer days come to mind.

For family and friends, be sure to check out all Dorene and Brandon’s pictures in their gallery.

There’s a lot of pictures that I wanted to share, so enjoy!

This is one of Megan’s shots, LOVE IT!

I love Dorene’s reaction and emotion before heading down the aisle to meet her soon-to-be husband!

It was raining when it was time to take some pictures after the ceremony, so we used the hallway and stairs of the Lafayette Grand.

Before the ceremony I took some relaxed group pictures of the groomsmen. I think they cleaned up rather well, huh?

It was breath taking to see Dorene on the stairs, she rocked it out!

Megan, my beautiful wifey was always on top of making sure Dorene’s train was perfect, thanks babe! I also love the main entrance to the Lafayette Grande…

Alright bridesmaids, lookin’ good!

The flower girl and Dorene had this thing about cupcakes, I think it was? Either way it made for a great picture.

The lions outside the Lafayette Grande are a perfect touch… such a cool addition to the atmosphere, bonus points for sure!

These ladies made taking pictures, easy!

The reception was beautiful. The toasts and laughter touched everyone.

Dorene’s wedding dress is great. I love the detail and train in these next shots.

The parent dances were quite cute and Megan and I grabbed some great moments.

These two little ones were the cutest thing, ever!

Joe was the DJ from Music Box Productions was a great hit and got the reception going!

Ring bling!

You’re married, congrats!

John & Courtney – Clarkston Michigan Wedding Photography

John and Courtney had a gorgeous October wedding at the Pine Knob Mansion, located in Clarkston, Michigan. I’ve lived most of my life in Oakland County and under 10 minutes from the Pine Knob Mansion, but had never been… it is BEAUTIFUL! I cannot wait to photograph another wedding at the Pine Knob Mansion in the future!

John’s immediate reaction when I first saw him in the afternoon was priceless, he yelled out in excitement, “JEFF!” He came right over to meet my wife Megan, who was second shooting. The day may have been a little chilly but everyone pulled through and celebrated John and Courtney’s start as a married couple. Megan and I had a great time with the wedding party, friends, and family. John and Courtney, you guys are GREAT!

We were upstairs in a room overlooking the gazebo at the Pine Knob Mansion, windows everywhere! We had some nice light and a antique chair, made a great picture of Courtney relaxing before the big event.

Did I mention it was kind of cold and the heat didn’t want to kick on until much later… Anyways, I think Courtney looks great with the wedding dress accessory!
